Kambo

What Is Kambo?

Kambo is the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog, also known as the Giant Monkey Tree Frog of the Amazon. For thousands of years, Indigenous tribes have used this medicine as a powerful purification and strengthening ritual, known to support physical resilience, emotional cleansing, and spiritual alignment.

Kambo is not a psychedelic — it does not create visions or alter consciousness.
Instead, it works through the body, nervous system, and energetic field, helping clear blockages and stagnation so the mind and spirit can reset.

This is a medicine of purification, discipline, and remembrance — a return to the body, the breath, and one’s inner strength.

Peptides Found in Kambo

Kambo contains a unique cocktail of bioactive peptides — amino-acid chains that communicate directly with receptors in the body. Some of the studied peptides include:

Dermorphin & Deltorphin : Deeply affect opioid receptors; may support mood regulation & pain pathways

Phyllomedusin & Phyllokinin : Expand blood vessels, stimulate circulation & lymphatic flow

Caerulein : Stimulates digestive system, gallbladder & pancreas function

Adenoregulin : May support neural activity, focus & stress response

Dermaseptins : Antimicrobial & immune-supportive peptides

These peptides work quickly — often within minutes — and are metabolized naturally by the body shortly after the session.

Physical Benefits

Individuals commonly share experiences of:

  • Deep detox and body purification

  • Increased energy and vitality

  • Mental clarity and alertness

  • Enhanced immune and lymphatic response

  • Improved digestion and gut reset

  • Nervous system regulation and groundedness

The ceremony stimulates the lymphatic system, which plays a key role in detoxification, immunity, and fluid balance.

Emotional & Spiritual Benefits

Kambo does not take you out of your body.
It brings you deeper into it — into truth, presence, and emotional honesty.

People often experience:

  • Release of emotional blockages or stuck energy

  • Increased confidence, strength, and resilience

  • Letting go of old patterns, fears, or attachments

  • Heightened intuition and inner clarity

  • A sense of renewal, gratitude, and self-trust

Spiritually, Kambo acts like a reset — helping you clear what is not yours and return to who you truly are.

The Process

A session typically includes:

  1. Intention-setting

  2. Hape & rounding

  3. Small gates (tiny points) opened on the skin

  4. A small amount of Kambo applied to the points

  5. 15–30 minutes of the active purge process

  6. Rest, integration, grounding tea or fruit

The process is done in a safe, supportive ceremonial container with hydration, observation, and guided breath.

Purging vs. Puking — Understanding the Release

Purging is not the same as “puking.”

Puking is the body rejecting something harmful.
Purging is the body + spirit releasing what is no longer needed.

Purging can happen in different ways:

  • Vomiting

  • Sweating

  • Crying

  • Yawning

  • Shaking or emotional release

  • Going to the bathroom

  • Silent energetic release

It is not about quantity — it is about what leaves.

After the Session — The Kambo Glow

Once the intensity passes, most people enter a state of:

  • Calm and grounded presence

  • Lightness in the body

  • Mental clarity and sharp focus

  • Emotional peace or relief

  • Renewed motivation and inspiration

  • Sense of inner strength and empowerment

This phase is often called the Kambo clarity — a reset where your body, mind, and energy feel aligned again.

It’s common for people to notice:

  • New patterns emerging

  • Better decision-making

  • Inner peace

  • Strong intuitive guidance

  • Feeling “clean” from the inside out

The medicine continues working in subtle ways for days to weeks.

A Ceremony of Remembering

Kambo does not give you something you do not already have.
It clears what was blocking your light so you can meet yourself fully again.

It is a warrior’s medicine not because it is hard — but because it asks for courage, presence, and surrender.

And what rises on the other side is truth, clarity, strength, and self-remembering.
